Hyatt Regency Aruba Earns Four Green Keys for Environmental Excellence

Hyatt Regency Aruba has received the coveted Four Green Keys rating from Green Key Global, an eco-rating system designed to recognize hotels and resorts that are committed to improving their environmental and fiscal performance. This honorable accolade is granted less than a year after the resort became the first “Earth Check Certified” high-rise resort on Aruba’s Palm Beach and further recognizes Hyatt Regency Aruba’s commitment to sustainability.

Green Key Global awarded Hyatt Regency Aruba with their second highest rating, Four Green Keys, after a comprehensive environmental assessment on nine areas of hotel’s operations, including energy and water conservation, solid waste and hazardous waste management, indoor air quality, community outreach, building infrastructure, land use and land management.

Most notably, the resort scored 80 percent or higher in three key departments: corporate environment management, housekeeping and conference services. The Four Green Keys rating acknowledges that Hyatt Regency Aruba has shown national industry leadership and commitment to protecting the environment through wide ranging policies and practices.

In addition to having the premier international certifications, Hyatt Regency Aruba recently debuted Meet and Be Green, a new program that encourages guests and planners to make green choices for their meetings. The resort is also proud to have a volunteer EMBRACE Project (Employees Maintaining, Beautifying, Revitalizing Authentic Cultural Elements), which encourages employees and guests to clean Aruba’s cherished landmarks. All of Hyatt Regency Aruba associates, driven by the “Green Team” are proud to set a positive example for others to follow.
