IHG to Open Holiday Inn Lima Airport Hotel
InterContinental Hotels Group continues to increase the Holiday Inn brand’s footprint in Latin America with the signing of the new-build Holiday Inn Lima Airport hotel.
The $24 million hotel will be located adjacent to the city’s Jorge Chavez International Airport, and is being developed by the Pinasco family, who will also manage the hotel under the Operaciones Turisticas Peruanas entity.
The organization has been working with IHG for many years and also owns and manages the Crowne Plaza Lima hotel.
The eight-story, 179-room hotel is directly connected to the city’s international airport, and ideally situated just 2.5 miles away from the Port of Callao, one of the busiest and most heavily trafficked sea-ports in Latin America.
Lima traces its rich history back to 1535, and is the financial center of Peru, as well as one of the most important Latin American financial centers.
It is home to numerous multinational corporations and factories. Peru has enjoyed strong economic growth and is one of the continent’s fast-growing regions.
The new hotel will be designed in line with the Holiday Inn Brand Family’s $1 billion global brand relaunch, the largest project of its kind in hospitality history.
The relaunch continues to drive increased quality and consistency across the global portfolio and comprises emphasis on arrival and welcome services, guestroom and guest bath comfort and a redesigned logo and signage.
