Jamaican Hotels Offer Special Mother’s Day Packages

Several Jamaican hotels and resorts are celebrating Mother’s Day with special packages offering discounted rates on hotel and resort stays across the island.

Montego Bay’s Sunset Beach Resort & Spa and the Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort & Spa in Ocho Rios are each offering a Sunset Resorts Mother’s Day packages featuring a Mother’s Day brunch, spa treatment specials, a $100 resort credit, a room upgrade based on availability, VIP service and a special amenity gift for mothers. The offer applies to bookings made from now through April 30, 2010, for travel between May 6 and 11, 2010.

Negril’s Foote Prints Hotel is offering a special “One in a Million Mother” couples’ rate of $68, including complimentary full breakfast. This beachfront property also provides a full-service ReggaeSpa offering Swedish, deep tissue, and hot stone massages, reflexology, manicure, pedicure, body scrub and facials to pamper mom on her special day. The offer applies to bookings made now for travel between April 15 and Dec. 15, 2010.

The Franklyn D. Resort & Spa and FDR Pebbles Resort are each offering double doses of Mother’s Day the “Moms Stay Free” and “Babymoon Package” promotions. Under the first offer, mothers stay free when traveling with their family from May 1 to June 4, 2010. The Babymoon Package allows moms to celebrate new arrivals with a family retreat. From April 9 to June 30, 2010, mom and all kids stay free when accompanied by dad.

The resort will reimburse Passport fees of $85 on arrival for babies 3 months old or less. Both FDR Resorts offer two-bedroom suites, and also offer a dedicated Vacation Nanny for each family. Rates for the Moms Stay Free and Babymoon Package promotions start at $310 per night, and at $230 per night, respectively.
