JetBlue Wants the Nod to Operate Orlando-Haiti Route
JetBlue plans to launch nonstop service between Orlando and Port-au-Prince, Haiti in December, pending government approval.
Seats are expected to go on sale in the coming weeks, according to John Checketts, vice president of network planning.
The carrier currently flies to Haiti from New York, Boston and Fort Lauderdale.
"With flights from four of our focus cities, JetBlue will connect more U.S. cities with Haiti than any other airline," Checketts said.
Toussaint Louverture Airport in Port-au-Prince recently completed a $6 million renovation, which increased the terminal's capacity.
Sunrise Airways will launch nonstop service on the Orlando-Haiti route on Oct. 17, pending government approval.
