LAN Starts International Dreamliner Service out of LAX

LAN Airlines has begun offering international service on the 787 Dreamliner at Los Angeles International Airport. LAN will operate nonstop service from L.A. to Santiago, Chile on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Daily flights to Lima, Peru, will begin in February.
The South American airline has already taken delivery of three Dreamliners. It has invested $4.9 billion in the aircraft and will receive 32,787 new planes over the next 10 years.
Gina Marie Lindsey, executive director of Los Angeles World Airports, said in a written statement that LAN is the first international carrier offering daily international service on the Dreamliner.
