Meliá Hotels Reports Positive Summer Results for Adults-Only Hotels

Meliá Hotels International announced a positive first summer season for its four adults-only hotels. The Meliá de Mar Hotel and Sol Cala Blanca Hotel, both in Majorca; the Sol Ibiza Hotel; and Sol Menorca Hotel have all exceeded expectations with improved occupancy and room rates thanks to the new adults-only hotel experience for guests over 15 years of age, and improvements in service standards and quality in all the hotels.

The company is focused on differentiating its brands and products and concluded the season with positive results that will encourage the extension of the adults-only policy to new Spanish destinations in Andalusia and Levante in 2012.

Adaptation in the Sol Cala Blanca, Sol Ibiza and Sol Menorca has mainly involved the introduction of entertainment programs focused on health and well being, cultural activities, new drink menus, modern furniture in restaurants and terraces with Balinese beds.
