Mexico’s Azul Beach Hotel Unveils New Suites, Expanded Kid’s Club
Located on the beach of Bahia Petempich in Riviera Maya, Azul Beach Hotel by Karisma, a Gourmet Inclusive boutique property, announced the completion of its newly transformed suites and Azulitos Kid’s Club. As a part of an $11 million renovation designed to enhance the guest experience, the intimate 90-suite hotel has unveiled a collection of new suite categories, ideal for families and couples, which are now up to 500 square feet larger.
The renewed collection of guest suites at Azul Beach Hotel includes three categories -- honeymoon suites, wedding suites and junior suites -- each of which are available as swim-up suites and cater to either families or couples. All suites have been expanded significantly. As a part of a complete transformation, suites feature new architecture, décor, furnishings, amenities and expansive outdoor space.
Suites are designed in a contemporary Caribbean style with dark wood accents, canopy beds, spacious sitting areas, private terraces and marble bathrooms, complete with hydro jet Jacuzzis and rainforest showerheads and double vanities. Each suite comes equipped with a 32-inch plasma TV, DVD player, an iPod docking station, amenity kit, once daily stocked mini bar, deluxe bathrobes and an oversized terrace.
In addition, honeymoon suites and honeymoon swim-up suites are oversized suites, offering couples 711 square feet complete with a king size bed and separate sitting area with a sofa, where they can relax and enjoy intimate time together. There are 11 suites available within these categories. The honeymoon swim-up suites connect to a lazy pool.
Junior suites and junior swim-up suites come equipped with all the above amenities along with an oversized terrace. Guests have the option of either one king size bed or two queen size beds, ideal for couples or families. These spacious suites range from 487 to 530 square feet. There are nine suites available within these categories.

Azul Beach Hotel has unveiled a new Azulitos Kid’s Club in alliance with Fisher-Price. The 1,600-square-foot facility is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a complete full-day activity program. The Azulitos Kid’s Club includes a Fisher-Price Toy Lending Library and play sessions by Fisher-Price -- both a part of its longstanding partnership and program with Fisher-Price -- Lego Corner, Doll Corner, Nap Room, video games, play area and My Gym Children’s Fitness Center for kids ages 6 to 12 years.
Further, parents can leave baby gear at home knowing the resort will have everything from cribs, changing tables and monitors to bottle warmers, baby spa robes, strollers and Gourmet Gerber as a part of its Pack & Play and Baby & Toddler Inclusive program. For parents, the frozen top bar at Agavero Tequila Lounge with 30 types of tequilas and complimentary babysitting services during happy hour twice weekly provides adults with the opportunity to reconnect.
