Mexico, Central America in for Air Integration
Mexico and the seven Central American countries will seek ways for a stronger air integration in an effort to cash in on the more competitive advantages that the region´s travel industry has to offer today.
The agreement wrapped up a two-day meeting of Central American Tourism Ministers and officials from Mexico´s Tourism Department held over the weekend in Cancun.
In keeping with the Mesoamerican Declaration of Tourism, approved by attendants to the bilateral event, both parties agreed to find better routes between the regional countries and southeastern Mexico at very affordable airfares.
Local newspaper El Sol de Mexico reported that the document points to the urgent need of having brisker and more efficent air connections to guarantee the success of the so-called travel industry through better communication.
As far as cruise liners and their benefits are concerned, the parties also agreed to ease the flow of information on that issue with a view to outline a more comprehensive and outreaching regional policy.
