New Hotels for Turks & Caicos
As Turks & Caicos continues to enjoy international visitor growth for the third year in a row, several new hotel brands have been eying the islands, while existing properties have been expanding and renovating their facilities in order to capture some of the market.
In addition to new airlift and a major development taking place at Providenciales International Airport, there has been some renewed interest from hotels in recent months.
Ahead of the World Travel Awards Caribbean & The Americas ceremony which is set to take place on September 14th, Breaking Travel News checks in to find out some of the most exciting hotel developments on island.
COMO Hotels and Resorts are opening three new chic two-bedroom beach houses at Parrot Cay in October. Parrot Cay by COMO is an award winning Caribbean resort. Perched high on lush sand dunes, the new Beach Houses will span 161.187m2 and feature spectacular 180m decks allowing guests to take in stunning ocean views with beach access.
Each Beach House features large 40m swimming pools, an open living and dining area, dual master bedroom suites with large bathrooms and private outdoor showers.
The elegant design is dominated by the neutral colors of sun-bleached oak featuring contemporary furniture from Bali, Indonesia.
Grace Bay’s The Veranda, on Grace Bay Beach, is set to unveil a luxurious Beachfront Spa Villa this year, which promises to be the first of its kind in Turks and Caicos. The Beachfront Spa Villa will offer a special menu of treatments and culinary options prepared by Executive Chef Wolfgang von Weiser.
Provo Golf Club and Country Club, the 18-hole championship course which is frequently described as one of the top golfing resorts in the Caribbean, is celebrating its 20th anniversary later this year. The Provo Golf Club is considered one of the top ten golf courses in the Caribbean
One of the most exciting developments taking place in the Caribbean today is The Blue Haven Marina & Resort, which is set to open its doors in Turks & Caicos on November 1st. Previously known as the Leeward Marina and located on the main island of Providenciales, the Blue Haven Marina and Resort consists of a state-of-the-art marina facility, a 35 condo unit hotel, pool and beach area, gym, several food and beverage outlets.
