Nicaragua Hotels Offering Special “Survivor” Rates

To celebrate the upcoming debut of “Survivor Nicaragua” on CBS-TV, several Nicaragua hotels and resorts are offering special packages featuring free nights and other amenities. For example, the Pelican Eyes resort is offering a vacation package including three nights in an ocean-view studio, daily breakfast, roundtrip ground transfer to and from Managua International Airport, a choice of one half-day sailing excursion or canopy zip-lining experience, and a one-hour spa treatment. The packages are priced at $550 per person, double occupancy, and apply to stays from Nov. 1 to Dec. 15, 2010.
 
The Aqua Nicaragua Wellness Resort & Spa’s “Survivor Package” includes three nights in an tree-top “eco luxury” suite, daily breakfast, daily one-hour massage, daily yoga class one adventure excursion (from a choice of ocean kayaking, paddle board, surfing lesson and horseback riding) and roundtrip transfer to and from Managua International Airport. The packages are available for $675 per person, double occupancy, and apply to travel from Dec. 1, 2010 to Jan. 7, 2011.

The Orquidea del Sur resort is offering four-night “Survivor Beaches Exploration” packages featuring four nights in a suite; roundtrip ground transfers to and from Managua International Airport; daily breakfast, lunch, sunset drink and dinner; a half-day horseback ride on the beach, and a half-day ponga boat excursion. The packages are available at $749 per person, double occupancy and apply to stays from Oct. 9 to Dec. 11, 2010.

The Morgan’s Rock Hacienda & Eco-Lodge’s Survivor Package includes three nights in a private casita; breakfast, lunch, fruit drinks and dinner daily; a “Fisherman for a Day” tour; and kayak and nature walk tours. The packages cost $657 per person, double occupancy, and apply to stays from Sept. 15 to Nov. 30, 2010.

“Survive in Style” packages from the Jicaro Island Ecolodge offer three nights in a private casita; daily breakfast, lunch, fruit drinks and dinner; a roundtrip boat transfer from Granada and two adventure activities. The packages are priced at $898 per person, double occupancy, excluding 15 percent tax and gratuities, and apply to stays from Sept. 15 to Dec. 15, 2010.
