Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Coming to Riviera Maya in 2017

Amid growing anticipation for the opening of Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana this summer, Karisma Hotels & Resorts and Viacom International Media Networks have confirmed that a second Nickelodeon-themed resort is in the works in Mexico.

The two companies announced Monday that ground has been broken on Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya and the property is slated to open in December 2017.

Although designed with families with children in mind, there'll be no shortage of luxury amenities and services offered.

The property will boast 288 swim-up and infinity suites featuring pools on a private balcony or terrace space. One-, two- and three-bedroom suites will be available, while guests will have access to round-the-clock room service.

For younger guests, the resort will house Nickelodeon Place, which will include a kid's club, Character Central for meet and greets and a kid's spa, among other features. The property will also feature Studio Nick, a theater that serves as the setting for a variety of immersive entertainment experiences.

As far as dining options are concerned, guests will have plenty to choose from. The property will boast half of a dozen Gourmet Inclusive restaurants including two oceanfront eateries.

There will also be four bars and lounges and a food truck where guests can eat picnic-style outside. The resort will also offer themed party options for guests celebrating an event.

In a statement, Viacom's Senior Vice President for Global Recreation Gerald Raines said the company has "been thrilled with the overwhelming response to Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts’ combination of luxury and playfulness."

"Karisma Hotels & Resorts has a rich history in the Riviera Maya and we are eager to invite guests of all ages to experience the beauty of the destination anew along with the adventures and surprise elements uniquely afforded by Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts," added Karisma's Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Armando Chomat.

The Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya will begin accepting reservations early next year. In the meantime, travelers can book the Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana for stays beginning June 12.
