Accor’s Novotel New York Times Square on Sept. 19 debuted its $85 million renovation. The Manhattan property, which is Novotel’s North American flagship, now features revamped rooms, a new SuperNova restaurant and al fresco Terrace on the seventh floor boasting unobstructed Times Square views and 5,700 square feet of space.

“We’re thrilled to debut the ‘new’ Novotel New York today, and look forward to welcoming both new and returning guests to experience an unrivaled view of Times Square,” Marc Sternagel, the hotel’s general manager, said in a statement.

The design firm Stonehill & Taylor spearheaded the renovation effort. The lobby facelift personifies the contemporary, paying homage to pop culture and New Year’s Eve in Times Square, with LCD flat screens continually flash images.

The SuperNova restaurant is being used as a venue for both pre- and post-theater meals and will also feature a Doughnuttery boasting miniature doughnuts and a trolley with dipping sauces. The property’s 480 guestrooms now feature 46-inch flat-screen televisions, WiFi, iPad docking stations and soundproofed windows that open and close.
