Occidental, Estelar Form Marketing Alliance
Occidental Hotels & Resorts and Estelar Hotels formed a marketing partnership involving five hotels from each chain.
The alliance is designed for the partners to increase visibility in markets where they currently do not have a presence.
Included in the partnership are Estelar properties in Bogota, Santa Marta, Medellin and Barranquilla, Colombia; and Lima, Peru. Occidental hotels in the partnership are in Aruba; Havana; Santo Domingo and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; and Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
"We have seen a growth in arrivals to Caribbean destinations where Occidental has a presence, especially out of the Colombian and Peruvian markets. Our agreement with Estelar will allow us to improve our market share in these important destinations," said Jaime Buxo, managing director, Occidental Hotels & Resorts.
Miguel Diez, president of Estelar Hotels described the agreement as "another step toward our goal of diversifying and expanding the marketing strategy of our hotels to a larger number of international clients."
