Occidental Unveils New Royal Oasis Luxury Hotel in Haiti
Occidental Hotels and Resorts announced the opening of Royal Oasis by Occidental, a 128-room, all-inclusive luxury condominium hotel in Haiti’s Petion-ville district. The three-acre property is “earthquake resistant and hurricane proof” according to an Occidental statement, and is located approximately 30 minutes from Port-au-Prince International Airport.
The new hotel offers five bars and restaurants, and members of the company’s Occidental Vacation Club have access to the resort’s Lounge Club Royal. The property also offers guests unlimited meals and snacks, a la carte dining in specialty restaurants and unlimited alcoholic beverages, plus tennis, water polo, aqua aerobics, kayaking and the use of the property’s fitness center. The resort features daily and nightly shows and entertainment, as well as a supervised kids’ club for ages four to 12.
Pétion-Ville is a suburb of Haiti’s capital of Port-au-Prince located in the hills east of the city, and is among the country’s most secure and prosperous areas. The community features nightlife and businesses that cater to tourists.
“The self-contained hotel is a perfect addition to our growing mix of vacation clubs in the Caribbean,” said Luis Namnum, president of Occidental Vacation Club. “Guests will find everything they need from fine dining to quick snacks, a great bar and lounge area, hair salon, art gallery and even bank services. The décor and features of the hotel are designed to maintain a stress-free Oasis for visitors to relax from the hustle and bustle of Port Au Prince.”
