Puerto Rico’s St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort Reports Strong Gains

Officials at the St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort are reporting significantly higher revenue and occupancy totals, citing “a higher influx of affluent travelers seeking sun, relaxation, culture and glamour,” according to a statement.

The luxury resort’s annual revenue increased 10 percent in 2012 versus 2011, accompanied by a 146.4 percent increase in revenue per available room. The property’s occupancy level reached nearly 90 percent in best month in 2012, and the figure is projected to increase to “just under 100 percent” in the same month in 2013. A significant rate increase is also expected that same month in 2013.

The resort features private terraces on all rooms; unforgettable ocean views; a private bird sanctuary; an on-site “green team,” a Jean-Georges restaurant, Fern; and a 10,000-square-foot spa.

Butler service is also available and guests have access to an ocean-front golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., a two-mile private beach, and a seaside pool and esplanade overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Guests can participate in outdoor activities including kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, wind surfing, fishing, nature walks, hiking, biking and tennis.
