Radisson opened the Radisson Aquatica Resort Barbados on Carlisle Bay on the island's southwest coast. The 124-room property, the former Grand Barbados Hotel and once a Holiday Inn, had a soft opening in February before it was rebranded a Radisson.

The beachfront resort, located in a marine reserve, features a historic, 200-foot-long Victorian pier that was recently named a United Nations World Heritage Site.

Facilities include contemporary guestrooms, a fitness center, complimentary property-wide WiFi, separate pools for kids and adults, meetings space and an over-the-water restaurant and bar.

Radisson Aquatica is Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group's 16th hotel in the Caribbean. In addition, both the 229-room Radisson Grenada Beach in Grenada and the 243-room Radisson Port of Spain in Trinidad are slated to open in the third quarter of the year.
