REDjet Gets Green Light to Land in St. Kitts, but No Deal Signed
By Deanzer Roberts
There is no time line as to when REDjet would begin or if they would fly into St. Kitts any time soon. Although the low fare airline has been given clearance from the Government to land, the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis and the airline has not signed a deal.
St. Kitts and Nevis Tourism Minister Ricky Skerritt says, like other airlines REDjet was given the green light to land in that country.
The minister made the disclosure at a press conference to members of the local regional and international media who are attending the State of the Industry Conference in St. Marteen.
He says Redjet's approval to land was approved in two weeks of them seeking permission. It is now up to the airline to decide whether the route fits into their business development plan, and if it does when it would begin flying into the new destination.
