Riu Hotels & Resort to Stop Operations of Resort in Eastern Cuba

CND has learned that RIU Hotels & Resorts has reached an agreement with the owner of the Riu Playa Turquesa –the Grupo de Turismo Gaviota- to put an end to the management contract of that resort located in the province of Holguin in eastern Cuba. The contract will expire on November 30.

Riu Playa Turquesa is a four-star 531-guestroom hotel nestled in Yaraguanal Beach, in the Cuban province of Holguin. The resort joined the Riu portfolio in May 2012 as an all-inclusive category lodging.
