Riu Republica Opens in Dominican Republic

Riu Hotels & Resorts opened the adults-only Riu Republica on Arena Gorda beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, on June 4.

The $140 million, all-inclusive 1,007-room resort joins four other Riu resorts in Punta Cana. In the Dominican Republic, Riu also has two properties in Puerto Plata.

Amenities at the Riu Republica include premium drinks, free Wifi throughout, concierge services and 24-hour room service and a variety of water sports.

Riu Republica offers three pools; the Renova Spa; three a la carte restaurants and one buffet restaurant; and five bars and a nightclub. Introductory rates start at $90 per person, per night, double.
