Sandals Resorts International will refund the portion of their guests’ vacations disrupted this past weekend by Hurricane Sandy, said Gordon “Butch” Stewart, the company’s chairman. Sandals properties in Jamaica and the Bahamas suffered damage during the hurricane, and the company temporarily suspended arrivals at Sandals Grande Riviera in Ocho Rios, and delayed the scheduled reopening of Beaches Ocho Rios. “Widespread landscaping damage” was also reported at the Sandals Emerald Bay resort in Great Exuma. "When one experiences a storm like this, which causes the kind of damage it has, it limits the guest experience and that is totally unacceptable in our eyes," said Stewart in an interview in the Jamaica Observer, which Stewart also owns. http://www.travelpulse.com/sandals-resorts-offers-refunds-for-vacations-disrupted-by-hurricane.html
