Sandals Takes Reservations for Overwater Suites at Jamaica Resort

Reservations are being taken for overwater suites at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay. The Tahiti-style suites will open Nov. 15.

Prices start at $4,321 per night, double. The suites feature floating hammocks, glass floors, a private infinity pool, two outdoor showers and butler service.

The overwater suites are the first in the Caribbean and have been in Sandals’ plans since 2010.

Karisma Hotels & Resorts is slated to open its version of overwater villas, called palafitos, at El Dorado Maroma in Mexico's Riviera Maya in September.
