Small Luxury Hotels of the World Adds 13 Properties to Portfolio

Small Luxury Hotels of the World, which added 12 new members to its collection in May, announced continued growth since the first quarter of 2012, including a 60 percent increase in new members compared with this time last year, as well as 13 new properties to join the collection from April to June 2012.

In addition, during the period from Jan. 1 to June 30, 2012, SLH reports that reservations are up by 5 percent, room nights sold are up by 6 percent and revenue is up by 7 percent when compared to the same period in 2011.

From April and June 2012, 13 new properties joined the SLH brand, making a total of 30 new members in 2012 to date -- seven new properties in Europe and the Middle East, two in the Americas and four in Asia Pacific. Strong European growth in popular tourist destinations was a major highlight during the first six months of 2012, with properties including the new Ett Hem in Stockholm and the new Aqua Blue Boutique Hotel in Kos, Greece. This is combined with success in emerging destinations including Lithuania in Eastern Europe and various locations in Asia.
