Following three years of restoration, Sofitel Legend Cartagena Santa Clara opens its doors as the fourth property under the Sofitel Legend label, a distinguished collection of iconic, historical properties throughout the world.

An extraordinary address and a former monastery built by the Clarist nuns in 1621, Sofitel Santa Clara has stood through centuries of unprecedented history and is the first Sofitel Legend in South America.

Located in the heart of Cartagena overlooking the magical Caribbean Sea, Sofitel Legend Cartagena Santa Clara's extensive renovation and restoration work has revived the best of its Republican style.

The hotel features 122 refurbished guest rooms across the historical Colonial wing and the modernized Republican wing. With breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea, each room offers its own personality with fresh white wash walls, natural wood ceilings and floors, soft neutral tones, and splashes of soft corals, mints, and turquoises.

The historical wing also hosts 17 suites, including the extravagant 1539 sq. ft Fernando Botero Suite, named in honor of the celebrated Colombian artist and featuring several of his works.
