Solaya Hotels Launches Construction of DR’s Eden Roc Cap Cana Resort

Cap Cana, S.A. and luxury boutique hotel development firm Solaya Hotels announced the start of construction of Eden Roc Cap Cana, an 85,600-square-foot luxury resort with 37 bungalow suites and a total of 41 rooms, each with a private swimming pool and a private spa area, in Juanillo, Dominican Republic. The project is being developed at Cap Cana by Solaya Hotels, and rooms will measure from 1,285 to 4,280 square feet.

Construction of the $22 million project recently began and is expected to be completed in the winter of 2011. Dominican architect Frank Ortega will execute the project’s architectural design, which will include two luxury restaurants, a private beach and an outdoor swimming pool. Guests will also have access to other Cap Cana facilities including a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, a marina, spas, retail shops, and a yacht club.
