Spain’s Tourist Office Signs Contract with Global Advertising Strategies

The Tourist Office of Spain has contracted with New York-based Global Advertising Strategies to carry out digital communications and social media initiatives in the United States. With Global Advertising Strategies’ help, the Tourist Office will focus on solidifying Spain’s position as one of the leading destinations for the upscale traveler interested in the country’s unique blend of modern luxury and rich historical legacy.

The campaign, consisting of targeted outreach to high-end trade and consumer travel online publications, emphasizes Spain’s premier offerings for the savvy U.S. traveler to Europe as well as highlights its appeal for those interested in art, gastronomy and history. Global will extend that messaging into social media channels to foster conversations within target audience groups and focus on partnerships with top travel bloggers to promote Spain’s under-discovered offerings.

“We are looking to showcase Spain’s unique sophistication through innovative digital and social media efforts,” said Notario Bodelón, director of the Tourist Office of Spain in New York and Consul for Tourism Affairs. Global will create messaging tailored to various segments and will focus on delivery via proven digital tools. Global Advertising Strategies is a full-service international marketing and communications agency headquartered in New York. Its client base consists of leading brands in the lifestyle, travel, entertainment, financial, pharmaceutical and media industries.
