St. Lucia Resort Wants to Attract More Black, Caribbean Travelers

Fond Doux Holiday Plantation is making an effort to attract a more diverse group of travelers and the resort is urging tourism marketers to do the same.

"We are serious about this and would like to see our tourism marketers do more to attract Black and Caribbean travelers of means to our shores," said Eroline Lamontagne, managing director of Soufriere's Fond Doux Holiday Plantation.

As part of this effort, the resort supported the Associate Member Task Force of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) during the organization's 37th Annual Convention and Career Fair in New Orleans. The NABJ is an organization of journalists, students and media-related professionals. It is the largest organization of journalists of color in the U.S.
