Storm-Shuttered Breezes Bahamas Updates Reservations Policies
By Brian Major
Breezes Bahamas announced updated booking policies after closing earlier this week due to damage from Hurricane Irene. Travelers scheduled to arrive now through Oct. 31 may revise their booking to any date between Nov. 1 and Dec. 23; guests will also receive a one-category upgrade.
As an alternative, vacationers may move reservations to a Breezes Resort in Jamaica at the same room rate, though travelers would be required to work directly with airlines regarding the destination change.
Guests may also cancel hotel reservations without penalty by Sept. 6. The resort will re-open Nov. 1 following repairs to primarily roof damage, according to a statement from John Issa, SuperClubs' chairman.
