Tobago Resort Acquires Golf Course

The 178-room Magdalena Grand in Tobago has assumed management of the 18-hole Tobago Plantations Golf Course and will refurbish it for $2 million.

The course will be operated as part of the newly named Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort and will officially open on Dec. 1.

"Adding the golf course to the Magdalena Grand portfolio has been part of our strategic plan to provide our guests with an optimal vacation experience in Tobago," said John Murphy, principal of EFM Hospitality Solutions, operator of the resort.

The course includes a clubhouse with a pro shop, lounges, changing rooms, bag storage and Fairways Bar & Grill restaurant.
