Turks & Caicos’ Sands at Grace Bay Sets Conch Festival Savings

The Sands at Grace Bay in the Turks & Caicos is offering a 25 percent discount off published rates in celebration of the seventh annual Turks & Caicos Conch Festival, scheduled for Nov. 26 to 28, 2010. The festival will take place in Blue Hills, Providenciales, and feature family-friendly events including tasting tents where local restaurants will compete for the best conch dishes, a Parade of Queens, live music, children’s games, conch-inspired contests and entertainment.

The festival ends on Sunday, Nov. 28 with charity five- and 10-kilometer runs. Proceeds from the runs will go the Provo Children’s Home. In addition to the discount, the Sands is offering free transfers to festival events. Also, the resort’s Hemingway’s Restaurant and Bar will offer a special conch-tasting menu, featuring conch fritters, crack conch, conch salad and conch chowder. The offer is valid for new bookings on all room categories for travel through Dec. 21, 2010.
