Want an excuse to treat Mom this year? Velas Resorts are offering Mother's Day packages that can be used year-round.

In a choice of two destinations, the Riviera Maya and Riviera Nayarit, the resorts offer special features ranging from the fish therapy and exotic seashell massage spa treatments to breakfast in bed, a choice of restaurants and romantic dinner on one's terrace.

Resort guests also have a savings if mom wants to go with the kids. Rates start at $379 per person, per night at Grand Velas Riviera Maya and $362 at  the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit. Included in packages at both resorts are luxury suite accommodations, a la carte dining at a choice of restaurants, premium branded beverages, 24-hour in-suite service and more.
