W Hotels Worldwide Announces Opening of W Miami

W Hotels Worldwide, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, recently announced the expansion of its Florida portfolio with the opening of W Miami, formerly known as Viceroy Miami.

W Miami is situated on Brickell Avenue near the city’s downtown area. The hotel joins Starwood's other property, W South Beach, in the greater Miami area.

W Miami is set within the ten-acre waterfront Icon Brickell mixed-use development, which has a two-acre infinity pool, spa, and interiors designed by Kelly Wearstler.

The hotel comprises 148 guestrooms and suites, as well as 38 residential units. The property is also scheduled to undergo a renovation on the 15th floor to create a W Living Room offering views of Biscayne Bay, while on the 50th floor, rooftop space will be transformed into a cocktail lounge and WET deck.

Brickell is considered one of Miami’s buzziest neighborhoods, housing financial centers alongside luxury condos and shopping venues. Situated across the street from W Miami, Brickell City Centre will have multiple restaurant and retail options.

W Miami marks the third W property in Florida, following W South Beach and W Fort Lauderdale.
