Windward Islands Airways (WINAIR) and British Airways have announced the successful implementation of an interline agreement between the two carriers.
Last Friday, the U.S. handed out route authorities for airlines to fly to Cuba. But it still hasn't decided who will get to fly to Havana.
Windward Islands Airways (WINAIR) has acquired an additional DHC-3 aircraft for its summer season, which will allow WINAIR to serve new markets and will also enhance its ability to provide additional charter services from its hub in St Maarten.
The first E190 aircraft took its maiden flight for the airline on route TP488, from Lisbon to Nice, France. The entry of the E190 aircraft is part of TAP’s regional fleet renewal strategy.
The new route will mean that British travelers can leave the UK at 10:30 and be in the hidden island paradise of Dominica with a rum punch in their hand by 18:30.
The winning airlines are required to begin their flights within 90 days of the start dates in their applications, which suggests services will begin this year.
