LAN Airlines has launched a sale on premium business class flights to several South American cities, with discounts available to travelers who book travel by Dec. 2 for flights between Dec. 15 and March 7, 2014.

LIAT chairman Gene Holder says he favours the regional airline being made an essential service to protect it from wild cat strikes like the one launched last week by the company’s pilots.

The regional airline, LIAT, Friday said that its operations were returning to normal after pilots ended their industrial action.

LAN Colombia has commenced domestic operations between Cali (CLO) and San Andres (ADZ). On 31 October the airline started twice-weekly (Thursday and Sunday) flights on the 1,160-kilometre link using its A320s.

At World Travel Market, the Tobago House Assembly has announced plans for a new regional flight, operated by Thomas Cook’s German sister company, Condor, from Manchester to the Caribbean island of Tobago, according to a report by Travel Weekly.
