Travel group Thomas Cook is to shed hundreds of jobs at its administration office in Bradford in the north of England. The company announced that the centre is to close with the loss of 537 jobs. A company spokesman said that 468 jobs were at risk of redundancy while 609 jobs will be transferred to an office in Birkenshaw.

St. John’s Antigua- Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister John Maginley has expressed skepticism of a re-emergence of regional low-cost carrier REDjet which Friday declared that it has applied for insolvency protection from its creditors.

AMR Corp. has said it is letting go of 1,400 management and support jobs company-wide as part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization. An AA spokesman did not know how many of those losses would be in Tulsa.
