Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced its lineup of celebrities to be featured on the 2011 World Cruise aboard the 700-guest Seven Seas Voyager. The 162-night World Cruise departs Fort Lauderdale on Dec. 27 and will complete its global adventure on June 7 in London. Per-person pricing for the full voyage starts at $84,999. The featured guests will present lectures, classes and workshops.
Norwegian Cruise Line has tightened its cancellation policies effectives with bookings made after Jan. 1. “We review all of the policies from time to time,” NCL said. “This now puts us on par with the other lines in terms of the cancellation policy.”

Royal Caribbean International’s Grandeur of the Seas called at Cartagena, Colombia, for the first time on Nov. 22 with nearly 2,000 passengers. The ship’s new itinerary now includes Colombia’s Cartagena and Santa Marta for the 2010-11 season.
Cruiseport Boston again set a passenger record for a fourth straight year. The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) announced the 2010 cruise season finished with 322,161 passengers, a 7 percent increase over 2009. In October, officials unveiled the $11 million makeover of the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal, which modernized it from a vintage World War I military warehouse into a hip new point of departure for ocean-going vacationers. Massport said the renovations were needed to keep pace with Boston’s growing cruise industry and to ensure the continued economic benefits that cruising brings to the region.

Crystal Cruises’ Crystal Symphony will feature South American flavors on its Feb. 7 cruise, both on and off the ship. Sailing from Buenos Aires to Miami, Brazilian and Argentinean culinary and wine experts will spice up the Wine & Food Experiences of Discovery itinerary with tastings, demos, and specially crafted menus.
Celebrity Cruises announced plans to add new Solstice-class features to the Celebrity Infinity during a scheduled dry-dock in early December 2011.
