MSC Splendida, the second in MSC Cruises’ “Fantasia” class of cruise ships, completed her sea trials last week. The company’s new flagship left the Forme Joubert dock on May 21 at 3 p.m. and headed out to the Ile d’Yeu and Belle-Ile for a 72-hour sailing in the open sea.
Costa Cruises said it is Europe’s number one cruise line with a fleet of 14 ships, three new ships due by 2012, a record 1.2 million total guests in 2008 and 1.5 million forecasted for 2010.
