Windstar Cruises is offering 13 seven-day roundtrips from Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica, aboard Wind Star during December through March. The seven-day roundtrips from Puerto Caldera visit Playas del Coco, Quepos, Bahia Drake, Curu and Tortuga Island in Costa Rica.
Orient Lines said it has been “flooded with calls” since its 2009 Europe schedule and new vessel Marco Polo II were announced last week by Wayne Heller, the line’s president and CEO. Orient Lines will officially begin accepting reservations Sept. 8. The line started taking bookings Sept. 3 in a soft opening to ensure computer and phone systems are functioning properly.
Norwegian Pearl’s Oct. 26 seven-day Western Caribbean sailing has been canceled because the ship must enter dry-dock to repair a thrust bearing in the Azipod propulsion system, Norwegian Cruise Line said.
MSC Cruises is preparing for its 2008-09 Caribbean season that includes the arrival of MSC Orchestra in North American waters, several theme cruises and new itineraries, including the line’s first visits to Bermuda and New York. The Italian-owned line is bringing MSC Orchestra and MSC Lirica to Fort Lauderdale for a season featuring seven itineraries and 16 ports.
Holland America Line will begin sailing from New York to Bermuda again, beginning in late August 2010. The news was announced to travel agents and select media sailing aboard the cruise line’s new ship, the MS Eurodam, this past weekend.
Cunard’s two modern luxury liners, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria, will depart in January 2010 on their World Cruises, continuing the line’s rich tradition of offering spectacular and historic World Cruises.
