Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. announced today that Royal Caribbean International’s Sovereign of the Seas will be reassigned to the company’s Pullmantur fleet, and the Los Angeles-based Monarch of the Seas will assume Sovereign of the Seas’ sailings out of Port Canaveral. These changes will take place in October and November
2008.
When Princess ships start their fall season sailing throughout the Caribbean this month they will introduce 126 new shore excursion options for passengers.
The success of EasyCruise’s inaugural summer season in Greece has prompted the unorthodox and innovative cruise operator to more than triple its capacity for summer 2008. The line’s new flagship, to be named EasyCruise Life, will accommodate 540 passengers and will enter service in April 2008.

This fall, Disney Cruise Line will begin offering guests “onboard airline check-in,” a new service that will enable qualified passengers to check-in for their post-cruise flights from Orlando while onboard the Disney Magic or Disney Wonder.
MSC Cruises will begin collecting and recycling aluminum waste. The collection will apply to the ships departing from Genoa and Venice. Recycling will take place at designated plants in the ports of Genoa and Bari.
