Since the inaugural Seatrade Winter Cruising Forum in Malta in 2008, more cruise passenger numbers have continued to show that the concept of winter cruising to warmer climes continues to grow from strength to strength, with a growing number of cruise lines adding these itineraries to their programs.

Workshop topics have been announced for the 2014 FCCA Conference and Trade Show, taking place in St. Maarten from October 6-10. The workshops will focus on the cruise industry's current events and route for the future.

Staged by HVS, the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA) and the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), CHICOS bring together more than 300 regional and international investors and operators as well as the region's leading decision makers.

The TSA workshop got underway at the Courtleigh Hotel, New Kingston, under the theme: “Establishing a Sustainable Synergy between Technological Best Practices and Tourism Satellite Accounts”. It is being coordinated by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO).

Peruvian star chef Gaston Acurio and foremost economist Hernando de Soto have been confirmed as two of the keynote speakers at the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) 2014 Americas Summit scheduled for 10-11 September in Lima, Peru.
