The 33rd edition of the Havana International Fair, FIHAV 2015, the largest of the past ten years, comes around with the intention to showcase Cuba as a safe and luring destination for business.

Caribbean News Digital, the online newspaper that targets travel industry professionals and the leading publication on Caribbean tourism, made a presentation in FIHAV 2014 that the ambassador of St. Vincent & the Grenadines to Cuba as the guest of honor.

In an effort to pass on experiences to corporate Cuba in such a way that the island could make a bigger impact on the European market, a representation of businesspeople and officials from the Old World held a lecture entitled “Challenges and Opportunities to Export to the European Union”.

The Mariel Comprehensive Development Zone Office (ZED is the Spanish acronym) presented Tuesday the Investor’s Guide before big-time businesspeople from around the world. This is a very useful tool to get a toehold on the Cuban context and explore the potentials Mariel has to offer.

A special moment this Wednesday during the Havana International Fair was the official launch of the mobile version of the 2015 Excelencias Gourmet Gastronomic Directory by the Excelencias Group. Dozens of guests gathered the EGREM tent to get the details of the information and promotional guide.

On November 4, 2014, right at teatime, Expocuba’s Pavilion 10 hosted the celebration of the United Kingdom’s Day within the framework of FIHAV 2014. British Ambassador to Cuba, Tim Cole, welcomed the attendees and highlighted the presence of the Cuban deputy minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Ileana Núñez.
