FIHAV 2016: Cuba in Sight (Photo Gallery)
With a turnout of over 3,500 exhibitors from 73 countries, the 34th edition of the Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2016) got going Monday morning as Cuba’s largest tradeshow.
The keynote speech was delivered by Rodrigo Malmierca, minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, who underscored the record-breaking attendance of foreign exhibitors.
This time around, the exhibit space covers nearly 29,000 square meters, including the use of many outdoor areas with great ingenuity and marketing-oriented purposes.
Mr. Malmierca said “no country should rely on a single market, so Cuba has no intention to do so.” He added there are great expectations for business opportunities during the five-day event being held in Havana.
