Marriott International has unveiled plans to revamp the Sheraton Hotels & Resorts brand, the third largest in its portfolio, and the largest outside of North America in terms of room count.

Rosewood Baha Mar has opened on New Providence Island in the Bahamas, marking the entrance of the ultra-luxury Rosewood Hotels & Resorts brand into the destination.

The Planet Hollywood will be an all-inclusive resort. The Sonesta, obliterated by Hurricane Irma last September, is currently undergoing demolition. Construction of the Planet Hollywood will start this fall.

Baha Mar has "nailed" the design of its Rosewood hotel, the brand's president said yesterday, adding he was "absolutely delighted" it did not go through with a previously-threatened exit.
