AMResorts opened Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa in the Dominican Republic on Nov. 28, a new destination for the Secrets brand and the 15th property in the Secrets' portfolio.

Hilton has expanded in Colombia, debuting its eighth hotel in the country with the new Hampton by Hilton Medellin.

The Renaissance Cancun will include 180 rooms and around 445 square meters of indoor meeting space.

With one resort already in Cuba and another on the way, Sercotel Hotels is making good on expansion plans in the Caribbean. Additional new properties in Cuba as well as in the D.R. and Aruba could be in the cards as wel.

The hotel, which has 276 rooms and suites in the Cabarete area, will reopen on Dec. 11, the company said.
