The Maya Beach Hotel and Bistro in Belize has expanded with the addition of three new suites.

The $230 million hotel project, which is slated for a debut at the end of 2018, will have 140 rooms and will generate 400 permanent jobs.

Residential resort investor Dolphin Capital Investors has entered an agreement to sell the 2,200-acre Playa Grande Golf and Resort Project, including the Amanera resort, to Third Point LLC.

In February, Blue Diamond Resorts will open a new, clothing-optional resort for adults over the age of 21 on the shores of Negril, Jamaica.

Playa Hotels & Resorts, which owns and operates 13 resorts totaling nearly 6,200 rooms in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Mexico, will go public next year.
