AMResorts has officially opened its first-ever Secrets-branded resort in Costa Rica. The adults-only Secrets Papagayo Costa Rica joined the company portfolio at the end of last month.

Built in 1972, the hotel has been closed for several decades, and has now been taken over by Meliá Hotels International with the challenge of returning it to its former glory.

Several new properties have launched in the past few weeks, even as entrepreneurs announce new projects to come.

Rendezvous is set to complete the second phase of its $12.5 million renovation to further enhance the couples only all-inclusive resort, located on the North West of the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.

The premium service provides access to over 850 airport lounges around the world and is open to members of the MeliaRewards program.
