Douglas Elliman has announced the sale of Miami Beach’s Clinton Hotel for $28.5 million. The seller is East Coast Realty Ventures from Rockville, Maryland. The buyer, Think Hotel Group, owns several hotels in the area at 21st Street in Miami Beach and closed in an all cash deal.

The Thompson Hotel group is building a boutique hotel in Playa Del Carmen, Thompson Hotel Playa Del Carmen. This hotel will be set apart with its boutique design (125 guestrooms) and party spaces that will embrace the feel of South Beach.

The Eden Roc at Cap Cana hotel in the Dominican Republic is expanding. The project will see the addition of 52 suites around the surrounding area of the property’s Caleton Beach Club, among other changes.

The Moon Palace Jamaica Grande Resort and Spa is slated to hold a soft opening in July following a successful renovation process, according to Jamaica Tourism Minister Dr. Wykeham McNeill.
