After rebranding its Tides hotel on Mexico’s Riviera Maya in January, Viceroy Hotel Group announced that two of its luxury destinations, The Jalousie Plantation in St. Lucia and Tides Zihuatanejo in Mexico, will relaunch in 2012 as Viceroy Hotels and Resorts properties.

With 900 million travelers a year, it remains one of the Group's development priorities and indeed, Accor has just celebrated the opening of its 150th hotel in Brazil, the Novotel Porto Alegre Aeroporto.

Brazil's economic boom (it is now the world's sixth largest economy, ahead of Great Britain) is pulling Latin America in its wake and it is clearly one of the world's most dynamic emerging regions alongside Asia. This symbolic milestone is the crowning achievement of 34 years of continuous growth.

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts announced results for 2011, highlighted by global revenues of approximately 950 million euros, a 7.8 percent increase from the previous year. The Spanish chain also shared details of a series of investments and expansions in 2011 and 2012.
