The Trump Ocean Club International Hotel & Tower Panama, the company’s first hotel outside of the United States, opened on Thursday, July 7. The 70-story, $430 million property, designed by Colombian architecture firm Arias Serna Saravia and located on the Punta Pacifica peninsula, is billed as Latin America’s largest hotel.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts removed its brand from the 294-room Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa in St. Thomas as of July 7, according to a company statement. Wyndham did not disclose terms of the agreement or comment on future plans for the property.

The InterContinental Porto-Palácio das Cardosas is the first InterContinental hotel in Portugal. Located in the heart of Porto and within the boundaries of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the hotel is situated in the town’s main square, an area of historic cathedrals, markets, museums, celebrated local bars and restaurants.

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) announced the opening of the 149-room InterContinental Nordelta Tigre-Buenos Aires Hotel, Residences & Spa, the company’s ninth property in Argentina. The hotel is owned by Complejo Bahia, S.A. and will be managed under a long-term agreement by IHG’s Americas division.

Panama City’s Veneto hotel, a Wyndham Grand property, debuted its Premier Collection of newly renovated “urban chic” guest rooms. The refurbished rooms all feature Celestial Beds, which include an orthopedic pillow-top mattress with a 300-thread count, cotton linens, plush duvets and throw pillows; marble bathrooms with oversized showers and six-position Speakman showerheads; and Gilchrist & Soames London Collection bath amenities.
