The AAA Four Diamond resort ranked No. 24 on the “Top 25 Hotels in the Caribbean, Bermuda and the Bahamas” survey.

Asian hospitality brand Banyan Tree is planting itself firmly in the Western Hemisphere, with five properties planned for Mexico by 2010. The Singapore company’s arrival in this part of the world is the result of global travel trends, according to Ho Kwon Ping, executive chairman.
This week marks the debut of eight, top-category suites at Sandals Negril Beach Resort & Spa, known as the resort’s Plantation Suites, a $2 million expansion effort. Designed to evoke the charm of a Plantation House, the new suites feature West Indian-style furnishings blended with modern luxury and conveniences, such as whirlpool tubs, cool marble trimmings and plasma televisions.
