Marquis Los Cabos Beach, Golf, Spa and Casitas Resort in Mexico is offering guests use of its new 80-foot Turkish schooner, sailing the Sea of Cortez. The latest addition to Marquis’ arsenal of luxury experiences, the Novia Mia (“My Girlfriend”) debuted this month at the Marina of San Lucas.
Global Hyatt Corporation has reached an agreement in principle with Patagonia Virgin to manage the Park Hyatt Patagonia Resort in Frutillar, Chile, slated to open in 2009. The project will mark the first entry of an international hotel company into the Patagonia region of South America.
Sandals Montego debuted a new Water Dining program. Guests staying in top-category suites with butler service, including the newly-refurbished Bay Roc Estate Beachfront Villa Suites, can enjoy a lunch of Jamaican delicacies right in the water along Montego Bay’s longest stretch of white sand beach.
The British Virgin Island’s Peter Island Resort introduced the newest addition to its Villa Estate Program: Falcon’s Nest. The 8,000-square-foot, six-bedroom private island residence features its own personal chef, housekeeper, valet and butler and, all overseen by the villa manager.
Construction is on schedule for the first resort in the Spain-based Fiesta Hotel Group, set to open next winter on a 190-acre site in the Hanover area of Jamaica’s northwestern tip between Montego Bay and Negril.
With the ongoing extension, the current NH Parque Central Hotel will be part of a great hotel complex in Havana, the Cuban capital. Through this extension, such facility will be linked, by means of a tunnel, to a new neighboring housing complex.
